About Us
Van Den Berg Painting was originally established in Lakeview Oregon in 1979 by Dan Van Den Berg (Garrett's grandfather) and then passed down to Vickie and Harvey Childress (Garrett's parents). It's now in its third generation with owners Garrett Childress and Sean Hickey.
Co-owner Garrett Childress grew up around painting with his grandfather and later his parents. He took a 13-year break into the corporate world were he most recently a Divisional Vice Present for a National Foodservice company before his heart took him and his family back to Lakeview Oregon to relaunch Van Den Berg Painting. He has great passion for his family and for the beautification of his community. Garrett's children are 8th generation Lake County.
Co-owner Sean Hickey previously spent 14 years as a lineman for two different organizations; needless to say, he is our heights guy. Sean loves the community of Lakeview Oregon and is backed by his beautiful family. Sean comes from a family with a hard-working, farming, ranching, and heavy equipment background.
